Who Can Use Our Services

Sunflowers is built around bringing positive change to people’s lives and we aim to support as many people as possible post diagnosis.

We were originally established as a service to support people living with or beyond cancer, but since 2018 we have also welcomed people who have been diagnosed with a significant illness other than cancer. If you need support with your mental of physical health, we can help.


Who can we help?

Every year we provide over 20,000 hours of health and wellbeing support interventions to over 700 people. We are currently helping people with conditions including:

  • Crohn’ s Disease/ IBS
  • Asthma/ COPD
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ ME
  • Hypertension/ Heart Conditions
  • Fibromyalgia/ Arthritis
  • Long Covid
  • Anxiety & Depression
  • Chronic Pain
  • Other Long-Term Illnesses

Self Care and Well-being

All of our services are designed to help you in your self care efforts, and to boost your mental and physical wellbeing. We can help with:

  • Managing Pain and other Symptoms
  • Coping with treatment side effects
  • Fatigue
  • Anxiety, Stress, Depression
  • Grief, Loss and Change
  • Isolation and Loneliness
  • Weight management
  • Loss of confidence
  • Other issues commonly experienced by people affected by significant illness.
